LOCALS
Locals are the fundamental unit of Solidarity Federation, uniting all SolFed members in a particular area, and taking part in the decision making processes of the federation at local and national level. Locals engage in many different activities, such as direct action, producing propaganda, supporting local campaigns, etc. At the moment SolFed Locals cover quite large geographical areas, such as a city, county, or even an entire region.
However, as SolFed continues to grow, these locals will divide and subdivide to the point where every small town and neighbourhood has at least one SolFed Local, strong enough to be effective, but small enough still to be run directly by it's members.
At the 2005 Solidarity Federation National Conference three new locals were affiliated; so check back to these pages frequently to see if there is a local in your area, or consider joining Solidarity Federation, and working towards establishing a local where you live.
